with hashem's loving grace we shall now learn the sixth principle of a muna which is the words of the prophets are six of the thirteen principles of mortal we say i believe with complete belief that all the words of the prophets are true well the first thing people ask me they say so what so well why do i have to know that the words the prophets are true okay first we know as we the gomorrah tells us we believe in the prophecies of the 48 prophets and the seven prophetesses that are mentioned in the tanakh torah and daemon they mentioned them in the scripture and we do not doubt that their prophecies are the word of hashem and therefore truth well the truth is that there were thousands of prophets in ancient israel thousands of prophets people that had the power of prophecy so why don't we bring them down why only these 48 male prophets and the seven female prophets because their prophecies are for posterity what we see today and we live today we can see it right end or to read the prophecies is like reading the daily newspaper and in fact as we will see if you read the new york times or the washington post you're not going to get truth if you hear cnn or fox you're not going to get truth i don't care if it's right or left i don't care if it's creative or liberal everyone has an agenda if you want truth you have to listen to the prophets you have to listen to the torah open up your bible open up your scripture that you find truth okay so this is why it's so
