Okay, good morning, everyone. It's Rabbi Zukerman, thank you for joining us on this beautiful Thursday morning as we are studying together Parashat Kedoshim. Today's class is actually a sequel to yesterday's class. Yesterday, we gave a class titled straight to hate. Where we spoke about this beautiful commandment in the Torah of Ahava L'Rei'acha Kamocha. And I just want to quickly summarize yesterday's class in order to be able to appreciate today's sequel, part two. Yesterday, we spoke about the mitzvah of Yesterday, we spoke about the mitzvah of love your fellow as yourself. V'ahavta L'Rei'acha Kamocha. And we noticed that the Torah doesn't just say Ahava L'Rei'acha Kamocha. It doesn't say love. It says V'ahavta. It says and love. And that letter vav, which means and is indicating to us that this mitzvah is not meant to be just a standalone by itself. This beautiful commandment is and love your fellow as yourself. That means that it's connected to what's written before it. And the Torah is written before it. And the Torah is telling us that to love someone and obviously, it's not hard to love someone that we don't have any issue with. The challenge is how do I love the guy that annoyed me? That hurt me. That stole from me. That I'm upset at because they did something. That's the challenge. And the Torah is giving us actually a recipe. A recipe for love. And the recipe doesn't end It doesn't start with love.
