I I want to share with you a mashal that hit me very hard from the holy Hafetz Chaim about why is it important not to speak lashon hara. Imagine and this can happen sometimes in shuls. Imagine you walk into a shul shacharit in the morning and a person has his makom kavua, he has his permanent spot in the shul. And he sees some random person that never prayed in that minyan in that that never prayed in that minyan in that shul ever before. He sees that person sitting by his seat. And this guy who walked in and he sees this person that nobody recognizes sitting in his permanent seat, he starts he starts getting upset. And he tells the guy, "Get out of my seat." But he says it loud. Obviously, it's the wrong thing to do and that guy gets embarrassed. But the guy keeps on going and says, "Who are you? Nobody ever heard of you. No one knows who you are. You just walk in, you sit in any seat. What what are you doing?" The guy gets embarrassed. He has no The guy gets embarrassed. He has no choice. And he moved away. Then imagine after shacharit is over, says the Hafetz Chaim, you write the sefer Shmirat Halashon. Imagine after shacharit is over the rabbi of the shul that everybody respects walks in and he sees that random Jew, quote unquote, that he kicked out. He sees him and he says, "Hey, why do we deserve such a important figure, such a chashuv person over here in our shul?" And the rabbi goes over to him and hugs him and kisses his hand.
