Shalom and welcome to practical spirituality here in the old city of jerusalem asia tara overlooking the Temple Mount [Music] creation is a constant state the word for present tenses Hosea and God is is said to be the Mojave he's the myth of that he's the causer and the word the mem at the beginning of a word is causative and it causes he's the cause of the present we have the we make the mistake we make the mistake of seeing ourselves [Music] as moving through time [Music] we see ourselves as moving through time this big time and which is which is totally fine I mean it's good that you see the world with time because you have a very important part of your brain called the default mode Network the DM in which its job is to predict the future for you as you walk up and down staircases you don't just fall on your face and your job the job of the dmn is that you can drive a car predictably and not wind up smashing into something so you definitely need that aspect of time going on so that you're like working along that a time spectrum it's extremely important that your brain works predictively unfortunately though the demon network is has it has the bad side to it you know it's there's a lot of stimulation that hits you throughout the minute you know every minute there's a lot stimulating you like lots going on and as you're all those stimulations are hitting you there it causes that your default mode network to to get kind of distracted and you know you could get easily distracted and that's why when you're driving it's pretty important that you're limiting your distractions while driving because you don't you want your default mode
