Um, Shabbat Kodesh Parashat Shoftim Taf Shin Pei Vav The shear was in the illui nishmata tehora shel Marat Leah bat Virginie Mahade balia shalom. Ruach Hashem tenichena beGan Eden, amen. At the end of Parashat Shoftim we are reading about a corpse that was found on the land. It was not known who smote who smote him. And the Torah says that the elders of the closest the city which are around the corpse will go out and will measure what is the closest city. And the closest city the elders will have to take a calf within a year that didn't give fruit. As Rashi says let a calf in its first year which has not yet produced fruits come and have its neck broken in a place which does not make which which which does not produce fruits to atone for the death of this one whom they didn't allow to produce fruits like an eye for an eye. And then the pasuk says at the end And you shall remove the innocent blood from your midst or you shall do what is upright in the eyes of Hashem. The question is here, who is the innocent blood? Pshat innocent blood is the death. But from the pasuk, it doesn't look so clear that this is the meaning. I wanted to share with you something that is written here in the Targum Yonathan. Targum Yonathan says that when the when the elders are taking their bringing the calf so the Kohanim are coming there and they they are saying that Baruch Olam is a kaparah for Am Yisrael and they didn't do anything to cause it. And adds the Targum Yonathan and says after the Kohanim said what they said immediately is coming out a big group of worms
