okay hello everybody ER Yan you come out in the middle of cooking and baking to hear toyra so I'm going to try to make it worth your while okay um this talk is not a usual talk that I give to uh necessarily this crowd and you'll see why in a moment but it's a mistake that I haven't in the past and I'm SB a check check it out now the reason that I would like to give this talk is I had somewhat of an eye openening experience it's not the first time I've had it but uh coming ER of Shu it really hit home uh we had a lot of guests for the Shabbat and among those guests were a group of 20 something year old guys who clearly went through the Shiva them they went they learned mnas they learned they went they learned mnas they learned gar and shabas afternoon they look at me and they say I got a question how do we know that we're right I mean how do we know that it's not all made up and there's something about that question that for many people there's a little twang like on a guitar uhoh I don't want to I don't like that question I don't like that question i' I'd rather be devout I would rather be devout I would rather havea but I'm afraid if I start going down that path I'm afraid what I'm going to find so I'm going to assume that we are right that's our M that's our tradition but I don't want to poke around too much I don't think that that attitude is the right attitude especially today day when there is so much information that is available to the public if you can't
