In recent days, the current president of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump, formally asked and encouraged all citizens living across the United States that during this next upcoming Shabbat, specifically Parashat Bamidbar, every single person should observe a day of rest on that sacred Shabbat. On the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, he is calling on everyone to honor the Jewish religion and to rest on Shabbat, literally. At first glance, this seems truly astonishing to us that a non-Jewish person so greatly respects the Jewish religion, and he is calling on all his citizens to honor the religion, to rest on the upcoming Shabbat, Shabbat Parashat Bamidbar. So, of course, gentlemen, we need to look at this and tell ourselves how much we must strive for the people of Israel
