rabbi dr shimon russell is a psychotherapist and the former clinical director of our place a drop-in center for struggling teens he also founded and directed tikvah a seminary serving the needs of struggling young women from orthodox home he is the main speaker and guide of kesha nafshi an international organization supporting orthodox parents of struggling children and the chief consultant and supervisor of fresh start an innovative trauma recovery center serving the unique needs of the orthodox community rabbi yossi rosenboom is a veteran educator and a global innovator in jewish education he's the creator of the zechelman standards benchmarks used to shape best practices in judaic studies he served as principal of the yeshiva boys school for over 25 years and has been head of the yeshiva schools for the past five years he was also my principal growing up and i didn't turn out half bad a very special thank you and welcome to rabbi shimon russell the way i would introduce him is a rabbi a therapist on a mission rabbi russell represents the hundreds and thousands of teenagers with whom he's had countless conversations and he represents them to claudia's role and we are listening thousands of us are listening carefully to what rabbi russell has to offer a couple of points before we actually begin our conversation sure first of all the questions that were chosen for this evening i came up with a couple of questions i forwarded to you you're aware of the question some of the questions and then the administration at yeshiva schools of pittsburgh was involved with writing some of these questions what we actually did was we played a recording of one of rabbi russell's presentations we stopped at every 10 minutes and then we reflected on what he had said and how we could implement those ideas
