hi my name is morai beer I uh am a rebi a teacher professor at Yeshua University and I am speaking to you as a fellow parent uh I have two sons serving one in the north one in the South um one in the South got wounded by shrapnel thank God he's fine he's okay just through a muscle in the arm and he's recovering and as I'm sure you can and as I'm sure you can all predict he wants to go back to his unit um as soon as he can as soon as the doctors let him as soon as his wife lets him which is less likely than the doctors but I want to share a few ideas with you that are going through my head as a parent number one I often feel a little bit isolated I have a wonderful isolated I have a wonderful community and but if you're not living in Israel if you're living outside of Israel and the vast majority of people wonderful as they are sympathetic as they are generous as they are have not experienced having a child son or daughter or both in the Army not just in the Army but in the army during a war not just in but in the army during a war not just in the army during a war but in the army during a war on the front lines it's not something that that people can relate to and uh you know just one thing you have to I find myself having to do is to type of control what I say to people someone said to me well if they don't have the proper equipment Why can't your son just come home now and then go back I said said come home now it's not a summer camp he's in he is enlisted in
