With Hashem's loving grace, we're going to learn tonight eyes that see. We all have eyes, but the question is do they see? And what do they see? So, let's revisit Joseph and his brothers. We learn the Torah portion the weekly Torah portion is like the rhythm of events and to this day that's the rhythm to also to learn about divine providence. So, 2 weeks ago we spoke about Joseph and his brothers. We're going to go back there. We'll go to this week's Torah portion also, the first chapter of Exodus. So, in the last chapter of Genesis, we learn that J- Jacob, he died at the ripe old age of 147. Now, the brothers are definitely afraid. Their father has died and they live now in Egypt and they attribute their welfare and their income to the good graces of their brother Joseph, who is now the vizier of all of Egypt. He's the second in command to Pharaoh, but Pharaoh is sitting and drinking his mint juleps and being fanned by his his ladies and Joseph is running the country. Okay, so they uh know that when Joseph was younger, they contemplated killing him, but instead they sold him into slavery and their this was the pinnacle of many years of contempt and deep hatred that they had for their brother Joseph and a lot of jealousy. So, the brothers thought that Joseph forgiving them and Joseph's conciliatory attitude, this was only in deference of
