[Music] with Hasham's loving grace. Tonight's lesson is entitled the reconciliation. It's the concluding part of the merchant and the popper and rabbis ra nman's classic tale that hints at the in gathering the exiles and the imminent coming of msiah may come soon. So in part learn in part one we learned about a great merchant of impeccable character and wisdom. He had a neighbor who was a popper and uh the popper was bitter from years of poverty and character. He was the opposite of the merchant. The merch had a very pure character, a very loving character, kind character. His midult, his character traits were impeccable. And but the popper not only was just bitter from poverty, but he was a had a negative negative type of spirit. And the only thing that the merchant and the popper did have in common was they were both childless. The merchant his wife didn't have any kids and the popper and his wife did not have any children. So one day uh soldiers came and they kidnapped the popper's wife as a prize for their general. They thought she was beautiful. They kidnapped her. And the popper the popper now wales in agony. He's crying. He says, "This is all I have." And and then this was taken away from me. So you can see it's kind of a complaint against Hashem. They've complained for his difficulties in life.
