Miriam is the founder and director of midrash echel midrash echel is a seminary that is committed to helping young Jewish women develop themselves both spiritually and personally they learned to see Torah as relevant to Modern Life and to use halaha which is Jewish law as as their guide in life at mades echel the sapharic heritage is conveyed with warmth and firsthand experience students are taught to discover and further identify with pride over their family's customs and traditions and they are encouraged to preserve their own way of life an experienced educator administrator wife and mother Miriam is passionate about and mother Miriam is passionate about transmitting the knowledge and love of Judaism to the Next Generation and Beyond thank you so much Mariam for being here please tell us more about yourself and what you do thank you so much it's a pleasure to be here um I have had the privilege of being involved in education for many decades now I could say um and most recently uh 15 years ago Mel was um the latest passion project and it's still going strong thank God for 15 years we have been thank God for 15 years we have been educating spartic students from all over the world from America and South America uh Europe uh and the students come to us to experience the shaba AR program the year in Israel and it's been very very gratifying I I could say that it's just a I always say I'm very very lucky to have to have my job and that job could only have been made possible um by us having made Aliah my husband and my children we made Aliyah close to 18 years ago wow and and we live we live in
