We have in our the famous uh episode the story where Ainu blesses his two grandsons and of course there's a lot of questions on this story first and foremost and on this story first and foremost and again we're not going to answer all these questions in today's class but just food for thought the commentaries do discuss these questions [snorts] but why is he placing his hands on his two grandsons we don't find later when he blesses all of his own sons that he places his hands on them. He doesn't put his hands on the 12 sons when he blesses them at the end of his life. So why is he placing his hands over here on Ephraim and Min um and then the switching of the hands um and then the switching of the hands and all of that? But um so [clears throat] the pasim it says that Ysef hears his father is sick. So he brings his two sons and to his dad and they tell Yakov, "Your son Yseph came." So he says to your son Ysef that I want to bless you and your sons
