I was first of all when I first met Mayor Kahana was the early 70s. I mean I go way back with him. I used to be 6'5 but in those years I said it shrunk a little bit because of him I keep today. I was as secular as can be, but I always identified as a Jew. Rabbi Kahana, unlike the Jewish leaders of that time, whom they even named synagogues after today, today, would have gone to Washington DC at the height of the Holocaust. He would have brought a million Jews with him. He would have shut down that that city until the American government did what they should have done.
