hi everyone welcome to another edition of this Farm chatter podcast on this episode of the podcast I'm going to be joined once again by Dr Morris ferin who was previously on the podcast about a year ago or so uh to discuss his translation and new edition of senena and this episode of the podcast we're going to be discussing another work that he translated from Yiddish this one is entitled yudish terak an early modern Yiddish defense of Judaism uh was edited and translated with long introductory essay but um from Wayne State University essay but um from Wayne State University press so first of all thank you once again Dr f for joining me well thank you very much for having me again it was a pleasure the first time and hopefully we'll have a nice conversation this time also likewise so I think we may have discussed this last time but e for people that didn't hear this or we should just to you know rehash this again you know why obviously this is you know like I mentioned you would translate tarena which is the classic compendium I guess let's just call it and then and then you went and call it and then and then you went and now you translated this and I think other works also you're working on other works yes I worked on several other projects right so why what I mean how did you get into translating English far into English and I mean why why the interest in doing so well uh first I guess the most important thing is to mention is that uh I have a very strong background in yish I'm a native speaker I grew up speaking speaking Yiddish uh Yiddish was still the language of instruction in the Yesa I
