Okay, dear friends, in honor of Yom Tov of Purim and the Chida's yard site Parshas Zachor and tell you three astounding chiddushim of the Chida. The first, the Chida writes in the sefer Lev Dovid Lev Dovid, that's another one. Lev, that's a part of the body. He says something amazing. You know, many people spend the whole day of Purim collecting or mishloach manos. First of all Listen, mishloach manos is a very nice thing. Once you give in one shalach manos you're not really doing that great of a accomplishment by spending the day driving around in traffic giving out shalach manos. Matanos l'evyonim, yeah, that's that's the that's the most chashuv of all the mitzvahs of Purim. Listen to what the Chida writes in the sefer Lev Dovid, which by the way, after the Holocaust the first sefer published for the survivors, my grandfather published the Lev Dovid of the Chida. He says, "Uve'einai hadavar pashut it's obvious in my eyes shem kol Yisrael hayom hazeh that if all of kol Yisrael on this day the day that Amalek was shochted and Haman began to fall Now I'm going to throw in another chiddush of the Chida. The Chida says Amalek began to fall on Purim and we destroy him completely Erev Pesach when we burn the chametz. It's like a 30-day process of eradicating Amalek. That's why it says, "What was Esther doing when she went into Achashverosh?" Says "Sho'eres lo yad'a hadavar Esther was in the middle of doing bi'ur chametz." What's she doing bi'ur chametz? Cuz bi'ur chametz is the final eradication of Amalek. So Esther involved in bi'ur chametz was already try using that zechus to protect her to be able to destroy Haman. So says the Chida, "On the day that Haman began was destroyed and Amalek began to fall.
