some of the halachos that apply to this minhag of Chazak Chazak U'nischazek. Okay. So, the Beis Yosef points out that when you get called up to an aliyah, you're supposed to hold on to the Sefer Torah. Now, there are some people that get called up, they make the bracha. Hey sir, you know, hold on. You're supposed to hold on. You have to hold on. It's based on the pasuk that says Lo yamush Sefer HaTorah Hazeh. Hazeh implies the Torah that you're holding. Sefer HaTorah that is biyado. Ends off the Beis Yosef. Melameid Chaya Sefer Torah biyado shel Yehoshua she'ein lomar Hazeh ela lemisha tofeis achifetz. Ah. Okay, she'eisei when someone finishes an aliyah, omrim lo Chazak. When you finish, you say Chazak U'nischazek. Okay? Not like Ashkenazim do. We say Chazak Chazak Chazak U'nischazek. Because if you look in the pasuk in my Yehoshua, look at number three, "Lo yamush sefer ha'Torah hazeh mi'picha." This is the source that you have to hold on to the omed of the sefer Torah because it says "Hazeh." What does the next pasuk say? "Hazak v'ematz." So since in the vicinity of Hilchos Kri'as ha'Torah it says "Hazak v'ematz," from
