we say it in the niggun of Eicha. Why do we say it in the niggun of Eicha? We find in Eicha Rabbasi, if we would have been zocheh, we would have read in the Torah "Eicha asav levadi". Now that we were not zocheh, we say "Eicha yashva vadad". So, we're mekoynen. Unfortunately, the our Eicha is not just "Eicha asav levadi". Instead, we have to say "Eicha yashva vadad". In fact, we find in Yalkut Shimoni, Moshe saw Klal Yisrael in their Shimoni, Moshe saw Klal Yisrael in their tranquility, he said "Eicha asav levadi". Yeshaya saw us in our loneliness, he said "Eicha hoisa lezeina", this week's haftarah. Yirmiyahu saw them in their disgrace, he said "Eicha yashva vadad". So, the simple reason we're mekoynen when we say "Eicha asav levadi" is that we were not zocheh that this should be our only Eicha. But if we look a little deeper, we'll see that unfortunately, the seeds of destruction of the Beis Hamikdash were already latent in the first Eicha. were already latent in the first Eicha. Rashi says, "Eicha asav levadi tarchechem", how could I hold your trouble? From here we see Klal Yisrael were tarchechen, they made trouble. If somebody would see that their baal din was victorious and then they would say, "Oh, I have eidim, I have rayos, I'll get other dayanim". What was the infraction there? What was wrong with what Klal Yisrael did? Were these false statements? Were these Were these false proofs? The these were not false statements or false
