hey good morning everybody everybody as well happy thursday for those that are here live those that are here any other day of the week thanks so much for joining us honor to be with you those that are watched listening to this in batches thank you as well we've been talking yesterday about this idea of active listening and what it means and what it does and i want to sort of delve into it a little bit more because i want to give it a little more context that's why it's so important for i don't want anyone to think that we are actively listening for someone else we're actively listening to someone else but we are doing it for us and and this is sort of the the world of giving this is the the the seesaw if you will really you know i always see it's like it's like an upward spiral staircase you know it's like an ascending spiral staircase where you know you go and calm you and then you constantly ascend where it's there's a there's an interrelationship between giving and getting not giving and taking is a selfish act getting is a result of giving at least that's how i'm defining it i don't know if you open up the dictionary it would say that but i'm just for us creating the term the lawyers in the room you understand the concept of defined terms define terms or if you ever read a contract and you see an initial cap on one of um on the middle of a word of a sentence that's the lawyer move because that's a defined term that means that term is not as we learned it it's how it's defined in the document we live in the show in the world of defined terms so one of our defined terms is taking
