hi everyone welcome to another edition of the saram chatter podcast on this episode of the podcast I'm going to be joined by Dr Yakov Mayer Who is historian of the history of the Jewish book and he was a post-doctoral f fellow at Harvard and will be at now fourth at the Hebrew University and he's the author of The recently published book called 1523 so beginning of print and thei the first edition printed in Venice in 15 23 this is published by Magus University this is published by Magus University press and is in is in irit not in English for those interested and and uh we'll be discussing this book in the beginning of print especially of thei and how it was worked on and those kind of things so thank you Dr mayor for joining me thank you wonderful to be here so let's start off tell the listeners a little bit about yourself and your background and so I grew up in Jerusalem studed in few mostly by and after that I went to the and and I and after that I went to the and and I started in the small call of Shalom where I studied in Gil and after that I went to the Hebrew University where I studed in the tal department where I focused More on tation University under the supervision of Professor and Professor M guided me in this uh this uh disseration that become became this book um and then
