What’s said in this shiur
The opening of this shiur, in Rabbi Yaakov Klein’s own words— taken from the captions, so names and Hebrew terms may be approximate.
influence, royalty, sovereignty, power, dignity. Every Yid matters. And we spoke about how we have Yidden who have Malchus Isgalya and Yidden who have Malchus Kasha. Every year has these two aspects. On the one hand, we said yesterday from the standpoint of Caleb, you can assess how much influence a person has in metrics, right? You can count, and you can assess, and you can figure out exactly what the you know, like what what the what the quantity or quantitative aspect of the influence is. But on the other hand, there's a malchus b'iskasia, right? There's some spiritualized reality where every single individual has influence. Could be on the whole entire world. It's just impossible to know on the surface. And that's why sometimes, you know, especially in Jewish organizations or spaces where we're trying to do like spiritually oriented things, but also run it as a business, right? It it it sometimes gets a little bit tricky from the standpoint of measuring impact, right? That's the big question. It's like, how do you measure impact? And on the one hand, makes total sense because people are putting money into something, they want to be able to see that they have a ROI, right? They want to know that there's a return on their investment. On the other hand, sometimes if we get too sucked into the metric side of things, you can forget that we're having an impact in ways that you might not be able to see it with your eyes, but there's an element of emunah. There has to be, cuz the whole thing that we're trying to do is emunah-oriented. We're speaking about care of, right? We're speaking about chinuch, like you're not going to be able to assess
