What’s said in this shiur

The opening of this shiur, in Rabbi Mendel Kessin’s own words— taken from the captions, so names and Hebrew terms may be approximate.

Okay, we are in the midst of Hanukkah. Uh so, let me first uh dedicate that this year should be a merit for the health and success of the families of Regina bas Yehuda Swede, Ruvein, and Yishaya ben Yisrael ben Yamin Wolf ben Zvi Hirsch and Boruch ben ben Yamin Wolf. Okay. And also, what's the name? Uh Uh Saul bas Chana. Saul bas Chana. Yes? Yes, and Leah bas Chana. Yeah, also should have also should have an aliyas neshama in the merit of this year. Okay. Um I want to continue with the internal story. It's really the hidden story uh of what I had said so far before uh of what I had said so far before Hanukkah of Yaakov and Esau. And uh you know, to continue the the concept how the Torah can use the same narrative to describe the revealed story, the overt story, and also the covert story, the concealed story. And we see that the Torah does that. And when you think about it, it's incredible. Uh the real story of Yaakov and Esau is Uh the real story of Yaakov and Esau is completely different than what people think really happened, you see. And I am up to basically uh where he is about to meet Esau. If you recall, he fought the angel by Yaakov ish imoi, and I he fought the angel, and I mentioned that the angel was, of course the Satan who was the angel of Esau. The Satan himself. And that was the angel of Esau.
