Thank you Rabbi Deutsch for the warm introduction. Thank you Rabbi Bold again for inviting me back. I believe this is the third year. So, now there's a Hazakah. So, now you're stuck with me. Um so, I'm going to speak about a day on the calendar that very little is known about this day. Much is spoken about Tisha B'Av, but very little about Shiva Asar B'Tammuz. The Mishna says in Taanis that there were five tragedies that occurred on Shiva Asar B'Tammuz. Shiva Asar B'Tammuz. Um and if you take a look on your sheets, we quote the Gemara in Maseches Taanis, the Mishna on Daf Mem Aleph, going on to Daf Mem Beis. The Mishna says Chamisha Devarim Eiru Al Avoseinu B'Shiva Asar B'Tammuz. Five tragedies occurred on the 17th of Tammuz. On the second sheet, number one. V'Chamisha B'Tisha B'Av. What happened on Shiva Asar b'Tammuz? B'Shiv'ah Asar b'Tammuz, the Sh'nei Luchos Luchos were broken. So, that historically we know we know that when historically we know we know that when that occurred when Klal Yisrael was in the Midbar, Moshe Rabbeinu went up to Har Sinai on Shavuos. He went up for 40 days. He came down on the 40th day. He was about to give Klal Yisrael the Luchos, and lo and behold, Klal Yisrael was worshipping the Egel. So, Moshe Rabbeinu took the Luchos, and he broke the Luchos. Bear in mind that Chazal tell us that when Moshe broke the Luchos, the Sh'chinah departed Ilmali lo nishtabru Moshe es haLuchos, had Moshe not broken the Luchos, there would have been no concept of shichchas
