The shiur in English

The Yanuka’s own words in this shiur, translated into English by Lehallel · 3,667 words · 49:38. Press a time to hear it said.

1:51 This is Hashem, joy, Heavenly assistance, salvations. Good to see you, to hear you. Garden of Eden, a taste of the World to Come, truly. Something... There is no such thing, truly, a taste of the World to Come. To see also the host, Rabbi Ronen, may the Holy One, blessed be He, give you Heavenly assistance, that He give you joy.

2:15 Amen. [unclear] Amen. For your good traits, for the joy, for your giving, for the joy, for your good heart. that the Holy One, blessed be He, shower blessing upon you and upon the Rebbetzin, your righteous wife. That you have Heavenly assistance and peace in the home, long life and years, and nachas and joy, [unclear] Amen. May you have all the good influences, and may all the blessings rest upon you.

2:43 [unclear] 'to all the living... and you, peace, and your servant, peace, and all that is yours, peace.' Hashem, blessed be He, will make you succeed in all matters. 'You shall surely blossom and rejoice,' with Hashem's help, salvations and miracles and wonders. The Holy One, blessed be He, will bless each and every one of you, give you salvations and miracles and wonders and a good life. This is a great merit. What we said here, Rabbi Yonatan, that was that the Holy One, blessed be He, will bless you with all the blessings and good influences.

3:12 Amen. Amen. We merited, we merited, truly. What is there to say? What is it? Mevaseret Zion, amen. Yes, this is my first time here, my first time in this city, here with you. The host? Mevaseret Zion. How?

3:55 This is your city here? You live here, yes? Yes. Nice, nice. May the Holy One, blessed be He, make you succeed here, that you continue to illuminate the Torah of Hashem, Amen. And may you have protection and safeguarding here in your city. Amen. May it be a city of Torah and holiness. Amen. And joy. Amen. And may you keep here that everything be here as it should be. Amen. May there be protection and safeguarding here, and may they keep Shabbos. Amen. In holiness.

4:25 That there be no desecrations of Shabbos here at all. That there be no desecrations of Shabbos at all. To keep as much as possible, that people be in holiness, in awe, in joy, keeping Shabbos. To encourage keeping Shabbos here among you in the community, here in this place, that the more people strengthen in this, the more there will be benefit and protection for everyone. Amen. May they strengthen in this and hold on as much as possible to the holy Torah that we hold on to.

4:53 I explained this once, what we say, 'a tree of life,' but rather, 'those who hold fast to it,' that a person who is on a cliff, and he is walking on a cliff and is about to fall from the cliff below, so when he finds some tree and grabs hold of it, he cannot say that he is holding the tree, rather he says, the tree is saving me, right? A person who stands on a cliff and suddenly grabs onto some tree, so if he imagines in his mind that he is holding this tree, they will say he is the biggest fool in the world, because the moment he lets go of the tree, he will fall into the abyss.

5:23 So this is the meaning of the verse, 'a tree of life to those who hold fast to it.' When a person truly wants to feel the Torah, to feel the merit in the Torah that we cling to the Torah and follow the Torah, this is 'a tree of life to those who hold fast to it,' this is the life that you will receive, for one who merits to hold on to the Torah. But it is unthinkable that a person would imagine, would explain, something else, that he is truly holding the Torah. Rather, one who holds the Torah is holding himself in the Torah. When we keep Shabbos and we pray and learn and do something holy, we save ourselves, we save our souls. You see outside the abyss, you see outside the whole world, how crazy, and how many voices of lacking there are

6:01 and how far the world is from Hashem, blessed be He, because they have nobody in religion But the more we settle our religion here in the world we will understand that everything has a purpose, everything has an aim that we want to rejoice all the joys in the world. Think what will be in another hundred years, two hundred years, with Hashem's help, if Mashiach has not yet come, and with Hashem's help may he come before, but I say we need already now to engrave here in the world [unclear] we need to engrave here in this world of ours as much as possible a revelation of G-dliness We need to reveal G-dliness as much as possible, to reveal G-dliness so that this revelation will remain and be preserved for generations Think of the time of Mordechai the Jew and Queen Esther

6:49 when Haman the wicked wanted to kill and destroy and annihilate everyone and Mordechai the Jew and Queen Esther come they simply understand that their whole goal, beyond wanting to save the Jewish people, is that they want to engrave this wonder and this miracle for the generations so that everyone will know until the end of all the generations the miracle that was done and all the actions and the wondrous miracles that Hashem, blessed be He, did.

7:15 So there are several levels. There is a person who experiences the revelation of G-dliness here in the world, and there is a person who wants to reveal his revelation of G-dliness for the generations and Mordechai the Jew and Queen Esther, these great and awesome tzaddikim, were not satisfied that they now feel and attain G-dliness, rather they understood that the whole matter of the true and eternal purpose is to engrave and reveal G-dliness for the generations.

7:42 Therefore there is a difference between a person who does his deeds or who seeks some reward and Garden of Eden in this world or in the World to Come, and one who thinks that the true purpose is what will be beyond what his eyes see. And we need always to merit to be on this side, because true service of Hashem and to see Hashem, blessed be He, eye to eye, and to merit to feel the Torah and the true path of Hashem, blessed be He, is that a person serve Hashem on what his eyes do not see, for the true, eternal purpose, to draw close to the Name.

8:13 This is called a shining lens (aspaklaria), and there is a lens that does not shine. As much as a person serves Hashem, how he contemplates the service of Hashem, blessed be He, so if he merits, he merits a shining lens. But if he does not merit, then it is a lens that does not shine. Because still it is a great level, but it is not enough. And in order to truly draw close to Hashem, blessed be He, we need to know as much as possible how to draw close to Him and to seek on the side [unclear] to have pity on ourselves, on our true purpose, our eternal one, that you see what has happened in the world, and you see what the Jewish people are going through and what our brothers are going through.

8:48 that [unclear] there are Jews in captivity, and they are in distress, and in captivity, and in pain. We must pray for them that Hashem, blessed be He, save them, that He take them out quickly from darkness to light, that they have no pain, and that they have no [unclear] and that they have strength and hope, and that Hashem, blessed be He, guard the Jewish people wherever they are, and to feel the mercy of Hashem, blessed be He, upon us, [unclear] And therefore in the month of Adar there is revealed, in the month of Adar there are revealed a little of the sparks and the signs and the wonders and the wondrous miracles that are revealed to us, that in the end the Holy One, blessed be He, hides the grave of Moshe, so that we search for Moshe Rabbeinu within us,

9:28 so that the revelation of Moshe Rabbeinu be revealed in each one of us, that we understand that the light of Moshe, therefore in the future, when the Holy One, blessed be He, redeems the Jewish people and brings Mashiach, Mashiach too will be hidden. In the end the Holy One, blessed be He, hides Mashiach too. Why? So that everyone will serve Hashem and see only His revelation of G-dliness, that there be no flesh and blood, anything that would be a barrier between Hashem, blessed be He, and the Jewish people.

9:54 And therefore the Holy One, blessed be He, [unclear], that after Moshe Rabbeinu took the Jewish people out of the land of Egypt, and did for them so many signs and wonders, and they saw the staff of G-d in his hand. And all that they see of Hashem, blessed be He, in His title, and in the kingship that Hashem gave, [unclear] and his power, and his might, and the hope that he gave to the Jewish people. And in the end the Holy One, blessed be He, hides even the place of his burial.

10:19 Look in the Yalkut Shimoni, in Parshas Vayeilech, It is startling, startling, startling. The whole description, [unclear] in the beginning, that really the whole description, how the Holy One, blessed be He, actually kisses him and embraces him, 'Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth, for your love is better than wine,' and how much it pained the Holy One, blessed be He. This departure, this pain was because in fact the ways are leaving us, and the way how to draw close to Hashem, blessed be He.

10:46 Because when we have the shepherd and we have leaders, then the Holy One, blessed be He, in fact gives us a bright countenance, how to draw close to Him, blessed be He. And when we do not have this, then we do not know what to do in this world. Think of a person alone who cannot fix the smallest thing he has in the electricity. Even the smallest thing, even preparing food, he does not know how to do alone, without having someone to guide him. So who wants to fix a soul alone?

11:12 Who can walk in this world alone? Who can know what to do in this world alone? He can walk alone but he is fooling himself, because he will never truly know how to serve Hashem because a person can try to think that he knows how to fix something in the electricity, and he cannot fix it, so how do you think that the soul, in the ways and the ways of the Holy One, blessed be He, you can know? So a person does not understand anything in this world but he wants to believe that he thinks he knows and therefore Hashem, blessed be He, made a miracle and did kindness, and in fact, with all that Hashem, blessed be He, did, He did leave us the grave of Moshe Rabbeinu but He hid the place of the burial of Moshe Rabbeinu

11:46 so that we seek Hashem, blessed be He, Himself, and not Moshe Rabbeinu. This is the reason the Holy One, blessed be He, hid the grave of Moshe. Because if the grave of Moshe were known, then the whole world would go to seek Moshe Rabbeinu. But what did Hashem, blessed be He, do? He hid the grave of Moshe so that all the Jewish people would seek the Holy One, blessed be He, Himself. Because the more one rises in level, one already seeks the Creator Himself. The Jewish people need to seek Hashem, blessed be He, and to reveal Hashem, blessed be He, and to find His revelation of G-dliness in order to know that Hashem, blessed be He, is with us and very close to us because many adventures that people go through in this world, without the eyes to Heaven and without hope and strength and vitality and joy and faith in this world, it is very hard to get through, very hard

12:34 and in order to truly reach a level and holiness and contemplation and thought, one needs first of all, to always seek Hashem, blessed be He. And therefore: 'And from there you will seek Hashem your G-d, and you will find, for you will seek Him with all your heart.' that a person truly understands that the matter of Hashem, blessed be He, is eternity. We are not here in a world of the present, in which a person counts years. We are in every movement in this world, to engrave in it a revelation of G-dliness and to continue [unclear] far.

13:03 as much as possible to give my opinion on what will be in this world, for what I leave this world. I cannot walk around here in order to seek for myself some Garden of Eden in Heaven and seek for myself some reward of the World to Come. I need to transform this world and reveal G-dliness in it to the end, so that no one cast out will remain cast out from Him. I need to think about the true purpose of the Torah, about the true purpose of the Jewish people, about the souls of the Jewish people. This is how one should walk in this world.

13:27 Because if we sit here in the world and enjoy and are happy and sanctify ourselves and take delight and think about our Garden of Eden, then if so were Mordechai the Jew and Queen Esther, then today we would not have Purim and today we would not have Megillas Esther. Rather, Mordechai the Jew and Queen Esther sit there, then and calculate what will be at the end of days. And for this we have Megillas Esther. Therefore whoever begins Rosh Chodesh begins the awakening of Purim.

13:54 They begin to awaken Mordechai the Jew, Queen Esther, everyone begins to speak of Mordechai the Jew. Everyone speaks of Queen Esther, they begin to speak of all the events of the Megillah. And the wondrous thing that we see in the Megillah, that Hashem, blessed be He, is not mentioned. Right? This is exactly the opposite of what I explained, that with the grave of Moshe Rabbeinu, Hashem, blessed be He, hid the grave of Moshe.

14:19 It is Hashem, blessed be He, who hid. But here in Megillas Esther it is not Hashem, blessed be He, who hid, it is precisely Mordechai the Jew and Queen Esther here, they are the opposite, they hide the Name of Hashem, blessed be He. Look at it exactly opposite, because Moshe Rabbeinu and Mordechai the Jew are one. [unclear] Moshe Rabbeinu is revealed, [unclear] in every generation. Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai explains that the revelation of Moshe must be in every generation, so that the Torah not be forgotten from the mouth of his descendants.

14:49 But here we see something else, the opposite, that precisely in the Megillah there is a concealment precisely of His Name, blessed be He. And here in the grave of Moshe Rabbeinu we see that the grave of Moshe Rabbeinu, Hashem, blessed be He, hid it. And here it is precisely the created beings, the tzaddikim, who hid His Name, blessed be He. So what does this come to reveal to us here? That on Purim, in this time of Mordechai the Jew and Queen Esther, we need to seek the tzaddikim in order to reveal their light within us, in our heart.

15:20 But when we want Hashem, blessed be He, truly one must always [unclear] to seek among the connections, among these things, among our connection to Hashem, blessed be He, that we must always seek Hashem, blessed be He, and seek the tzaddikim, faith in the Sages, in order through them to draw close to Hashem, blessed be He, to understand that there is no goal in this world but only Hashem, blessed be He. Hashem, blessed be He, the only goal, He is the only way, this is our true and eternal purpose, to draw close to Hashem, blessed be He.

15:48 Therefore we always pray, always look, every prayer that we pray to Hashem, blessed be He, at the end of the prayer we say 'He who makes peace in His heights,' 'in His mercies may He make peace upon us and upon all His people Israel.' We ask Hashem, blessed be He, that the whole purpose of the prayer and all that we prayed and all that will be, that abundance flow to all created beings, to all the animals of the field, to all the animals, to all the birds of the sky, to all the trees, to all the plants, to all the influences, to all that comes down in the world, to all the abundance in the world, to the angels, to all created beings, to everyone. That there be abundance, that there be good influences.

16:22 We need to reveal light. We need to be a light to the non-Jews. We need to be a light and a symbol to all created beings. This is our purpose. It is Hashem, blessed be He, who gave us the merit, this gift. This is our uniqueness. Because in all that we see in this material world, all that we look at and see from outside, all that the world goes through, the only way to draw close to Hashem, especially now in the month of Adar. After what we see outside happening to our brothers, we must contemplate this. Remember these rules well.

16:53 Remember well that one must always run and seek and cling to Hashem, blessed be He. This is our purpose in the world. And the moment a person sits one time, and thinks that he already knows who Hashem is, he will think he already understands what the Torah is and he already knows what tzaddikim are, he will know that he is the farthest from Hashem, blessed be He. And the moment a person knows that he knows nothing, he will begin to search, then he will find Hashem, blessed be He.

17:19 Therefore exactly we see, the grave of Moshe Rabbeinu, Hashem, blessed be He, hid. When they came to write the Megillah, the Name of Hashem, blessed be He, is hidden. Why? So that the Jewish people would be aroused to begin to seek and search after Hashem, blessed be He. That the Name of Hashem, blessed be He, is hidden in the Megillah. That we always run and seek Hashem, blessed be He. May it be His will that the Holy One, blessed be He, grant us the merit, that we always cling to Him, that we run after Him, that we always be in joy, that we think of Hashem, blessed be He, and that we merit to see what Megillas Esther is, to reveal all the concealments, to reveal all that is hidden from us, to reveal all the concealments and to illuminate the light of Hashem,

17:59 that Hashem, blessed be He, have mercy on all of us, save all of us. It was a great merit for me to be with you, to see you here, to rejoice with you and Rabbi Ronen the tzaddik, may you have many blessings, may you have long life and years, may you have joy and nachas and all the good influences, and the whole holy congregation, everyone, each and every one of you. May you have all good and from all good and all the good influences. And to Rabbi Yonatan, the musician, the special and splendid singer, the acclaimed, that Hashem, blessed be He, give you Heavenly assistance, that He give you miracles and wonders and strength and vitality to bring out all your melodies, with Hashem's help, from potential to actual.

18:40 with Hashem's help with Heavenly assistance, wonderful melodies, 'Honor Hashem with your wealth' - do not read 'with your wealth' but 'from your throat.' 'And it was, when the musician played, that the hand of Hashem came upon him.' [unclear] for you both hands for holiness and a voice of holiness. May you have Heavenly assistance and a good life and all the good influences and all the blessings, and that these melodies [unclear] of teshuvah in all the world. Amen. And bring all created beings back to Him, blessed be He. Amen. Rabbi Daniel, Aviel the tzaddik, may you have Heavenly assistance. Amen. And may you illuminate the light of Hashem. Amen. And may you bring out to the light also all your compositions, all the melodies. Amen. And like the harp of David the King, [unclear] May you have salvations and miracles and wonders. Amen. And as one hears the melody of the violin, immediately

19:20 its light fills the whole world. May you have all the good influences, and Rabbi [unclear] and Heavenly assistance that you also bring out all your music, the zemiros and the melodies that you be [unclear] and joyful, may you have salvations with Hashem's help to sing for [unclear] the tzaddik, may you have salvations and Heavenly assistance to make a psalm of thanksgiving and thanks to Hashem, blessed be He, always, and may you praise Hashem, blessed be He.

19:45 that Hashem, blessed be He, bless each and every one of you, each one ... May you have all the [unclear]. Amen.
