Well, we are now up to meditation itself. What is this strange state or level of awareness which is meditation? What is this act of meditating? What is the meditative state? The experience of the meditative state that uh uh that that we are trying to discover find out. Remember, consciousness or awareness is a mental activity. It's important to know. Awareness itself is a mental activity. It's one of the activities of the mind as I had mentioned when we talked about mind. The levels of of awareness, of course, are the levels of the mental activity called awareness. We are now on the fourth level of consciousness or awareness, which is a mental activity, which of course is a faculty of mind. Now, what is meditation? Meditation is what I call super focused awareness. In other words, there is no mental interference as the same by contemplation. In other words, just by just as by contemplation, the same is true of meditation in terms of the cessation or the disappearance of all extraneous stimuli. all extraneous stimuli. There is no more interference or intrusion of extraneous mental phenomena. In other words, there is no more mental activities, no more thoughts, feelings, or images that intrude themselves on the mind. There is also no more sensations, whether it be bodily or uh sensory. All this disappears in the meditative state. The person is actually able to control himself and keep these things out of the mind. There is no more interference or mind. There is no more interference or intrusion from the other areas of the mind. In other words, the mental static that a person always feels is gone. In the state of contemplation and certainly is gone in the state of meditation itself. What then does a person experience? What meditation is, it is turning up the focus of awareness.
