It is important to remind oneself perhaps every day, perhaps every hour, perhaps every 10 minutes that God is perfect. He needs nothing. He does not need us. We are ants in his eyes. Obviously, we're not, but we are ants. He doesn't need us. So, why did he give us the Torah? He gave us the Torah because he is a dispenser of good. He is interested in giving goodness to the world.
