good luck shavuotov and welcome to the shabbat shivaji russia tough and pay bays let me begin by thanking those who are here tonight those who are in the room this is the way a shabbat rush is meant to be given this is the way it's always been given and please god this is the way we will return to it being given together in person with energy and electricity gathering and coming together as a community seeking to grow it means the world to me that you came tonight i'm so appreciative that you're here together to be able to learn to grow and tonight russia is dedicated in memory of two really extraordinary people who no matter what we're talking about on shabbat shiva they seem to exemplify and they were role models exactly for those qualities that we are trying to live relay freedman to one another and good friends were role models to each and every one of us or by friedman who had such a yearning to be close to hashem rabbi friedman who stood up for the jewish people who had a love in abbas israel rabbi friedman who taught me so much about what it means to rally to charge what it means to make a rally to charge what it means to make a difference and not only to withdraw into our own community but to try to bring a light and to repair the world around we miss him terribly and we hope our words tonight elevate his neshama each and every child yeshuva i can count on coming home and not soon after shabbos finding an email from her by freedmen with the kindest words and compliments for the most part with his feedback uh and suggestions as well but they were equally cherished and loved because i knew exactly where they came from
