We're learning the fourth sicha of parshas Emor in chelek Yisroel on page 267. This shiur is being learned l'iluy nishmas Reb Yosef Binyamin ben Reb Menashe Koltinman. In this sicha, the Rebbe will discuss Simchas Beis Hasho'eiva according to the opinion of the Rambam. The Rambam in the end of Hilchos Lulav, the Rambam brings the inyan of Simchas Beis Hasho'eiva in a unique way, actually not even mentioning clearly the inyan of the Beis Hasho'eiva, different than the way it's brought in the Gemara. The Rebbe will brought in the Gemara. The Rebbe will explain the opinion of the Rambam. From pasuk "Us'machtem lifnei Hashem Elokeichem shivas yamim." It says in the Torah that you should be joyous in front of Hashem for seven days. This state by Chag HaSukkos is regarding the Yom Tov of Sukkos. Learned in the top of the Rambam. So the Rambam learns from this as b'Chag HaSukkos is given a simcha yeseira that in the Yom Tov of Sukkos there was an extra simcha and then there in the Beis HaMikdash as the Rambam explains there. Mairavi b'alah mairavi b'andrei andre moados, more than the other Yom Tovim. moados, more than the other Yom Tovim. V'zeh Lashon ha'Torah, this is what the Rambam says. Af al pi shekol ha'moados mitzvah lismayach bahem even though all Yom Tovim there's a mitzvah of simcha by on Yom Tov. B'Chag HaSukkos hayah b'Mikdash yom simcha yeseira. But when it came to Sukkos, so in the Beis HaMikdash there was a greater simcha than other Yom Tovim. She'ne'emar "Us'machtem lifnei Hashem Elokeichem shivas yamim." Now we learn it from this pasuk of Us'machtem that it says regarding Sukkos. Keitzad hayu oisin, what would they do?
