Today here in Israel it's just after tishabove but most of the world from us westwood still in tishabove. We hope that we'll be able to speak about the greatness of tishov, the sorrow of tishab and how it's all intertwined. So let's begin. Tishabove as we know is day of mourning, terrible morning. The temple was destroyed almost 2,000 years. What are we mourning over something that happened 2,000 years ago? Right? We're not. We're mourning over our daytoday existence. Tala teaches that whoever has knowledge, it's as if to mash was built in his day. Which means Rabbi Nman explains many times that the destruction of the temple is the destruction of our das of our knowledge. What knowledge could be destructive? The knowledge that we forget about Hashem. We don't bring Hashem into our lives. We are we are fully of Hashem at every given moment. The temple presence of Hashem was felt was seen and now we don't see it. So the morning of tishov is the morning over the temple which is the morning over our das. Have I attained knowledge? Oh yeah, I studied. I learned. I grew. But am I fully aware of Hashem? That is the question we have to ask. And unfortunately, no. Which is why we have a day of morning tish. Now, is this our lot in life? Are we supposed to remain this way? God forbid. God forbid. We are a people. We're a Jewish nation. We lost the temple. We've been in exile over 1900 years. And quite frankly, uh we've been kicked around, murdered, robbed, blundered, and raped, and everything else under the sun. And we're still here. So it can't be that our thoughts.
