so we discussed in the ramal um one of theim the main principles of Jewish belief which is Divine Providence what does Divine Providence mean it means that God knows and directs what happens down here now immediately that should raise some serious questions because if God knows and directs Affairs down here what do we do with another major principle in Judaism which is Free Will and so we saw if you remember that we really have two types of relationships one coming from top to bottom and the other one going from bottom to top correct do you remember this anybody yeah good from the top to bottom is God's will whatever he wants happens boom no we have no effect on it whatsoever yet from the bottom to the top is all based on us right in a sense depends on Free Will so we have a series of choices go to class go take a nap right those are the two choices we make a choice take a nap then we have two other choices wake up for the 4:00 class or I don't know go to the beach right and you go I'm going to go to class boom so then we have two choices do we do I pay attention in class or I bite my nails that's what I used to do that's what I do so we constantly have choices that we have to use our free will to decide what we do and as we make a choice it affects what's coming down but what's coming down is really based on what God wants and therefore we have more choices and this sort of continues continues until it's over when is it
