And all that our forefathers went through, and all their tears and all their blood, was for this, was for our hope.
0:46 that we would go on hoping. If we, Heaven forbid, break, and if we, Heaven forbid, lose heart, or, Heaven forbid, one of the Jewish people loses heart and drifts away from Him, blessed be He. One, one, Heaven forbid, then it is pain for generations. If, Heaven forbid, he loses heart, it is impossible to know what we are missing and what we are losing. For if today we see someone who is all right, well, a yeshiva student who drifted, drifted, drifted away from the path, they see that he no longer manages to learn, and he does not manage to serve Hashem - so already they permit shaming him, and they permit his blood, and they shame him and spill his blood.
1:33 So why not bring him close? Why not shine the Torah at his level? One cannot expect everyone today to be at the same level in intellect, in learning and in everything, and to have the same burning fire for Hashem. But if he does not have it, then one must bring this fire to him, to bring him close. What is written? About Aharon: 'Loving people and bringing them close to the Torah.' Take the person who is far, bring him close to the Torah, light up the sweetness of the Torah for him, bring its light close to him, its sweetness.
2:03 But, Heaven forbid, never shame any person who drifts away from Hashem. Even the farthest of the far and the most lax of the lax who drifts away - one must light up in him the light of the Torah, and light up in him the light of Hashem, so that he too will merit to come close to Hashem, blessed be He. No one truly knows what is hidden in him, what strength is in him, and what Hashem wants from him, and what he can bring out.
2:29 And this is what we must reveal. This is our way: to try to bring out of each and every one all that is hidden in him, all the light that is in him, to drive out the darkness there is and to reveal the light hidden in each and every one. These are the tools of the Torah: for this we learn the Torah, for this we keep the mitzvos - to cling to Hashem and to reveal the light hidden in each one of us.
