Okay, everyone. We're overlooking the entire city of Chevron. You see the Ma'aras Machpelah in the background. This is the old Jewish area of the city. And you think about there are certain prophecies in Chumash and in Nevi'im and Kesuvim that took place here in Chevron. So, the Ribono shel Olam says to Avraham Avinu, "U'mlachim mimcha yetze'u." Kings will come from you. Now, where was Avraham when Hashem told him these words? So, you look in Bereishis and you see the last thing we know is "Vaya'el Avram vayavo vayeshev be'elonei Mamre asher beChevron." "Vayiven sham mizbei'ach." We don't find that Avraham Avinu moved since then. So, the last spot we know where Avraham Avinu was was in Chevron. So, when Hashem tells him the words "U'mlachim mimcha yetze'u," it was in Chevron. Lo and behold, we come about 850 years later and it's time for David HaMelech to be coronated. We spoke about it earlier when we were by Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. And the people with David, they returned to Chevron and they anointed David to be the king here in Chevron. And then all the other shvatim concurred and they also coronated David. And where did they come? "Vayavo'u kol shivtei Yisrael." It says in in Shmuel Beis, perek aleph, they came to Chevron and they said, "Look, atzmeinu u'vsareinu atah. We're your flesh and blood. We also acknowledge you as the king over Klal Yisrael." David even
