the three weeks between the seventeenth of tammuz shiva's and the ninth of the shabba are called ben hamidzarim these are days when difficult things happen to the jewish people not only in the ancient times but unfortunately we often hear that they happen even now therefore it is advised that a person should not do any dangerous activity like hiking alone alone swimming in the ocean or in any open body of water weddings are customarily not held during the three weeks for ashkenazim it is a halal however for safari if necessary weddings are still permitted until rosh chodesh ave but since we live in mangashinazim usually we also don't do weddings during these three weeks we do not listen to music however for sephardim
