0:05 Rosh Hashanah is approaching; we are about to crown the King, and we have nowhere to crown Him. We are crowning a King who has no palace. We are crowning a King who has no crown. A person, as Rosh Hashanah approaches, must be shaken by this and see from it: how am I crowning a King when I have no crown to give Him, how am I crowning a King when I have no palace to give Him to sit in?

0:33 What can I do so that on this Rosh Hashanah and in this year I will promise my King that by next year I will give Him a crown and a palace to sit in? This is the meaning of Rosh Hashanah. That is why 'Rosh Hashanah' has the same numerical value as 'Beis HaMikdash', the Holy Temple. You know, no one knows the greatness of our souls. We - in every single Jew, the soul is very, very immense. There is no grasping the greatness of the souls. We are all one.

1:00 We are all one. We came from one root and one source, and we - our souls go about scorned in the world, while the non-Jews go about the whole entire world celebrating and rejoicing, receiving kingship and greatness and honor and grandeur, and we, lowly and despised, go from one downfall to the next, in sorrow and in lowliness. And we ask: until when?

1:27 And this year too is passing. And I explained that 'Rosh Hashanah' has exactly the numerical value of 'Beis HaMikdash'. How can we be without the King's palace, and without the King who reveals Himself in the world? There is no purpose in the whole world and in all of creation if the King is not in His palace, and we do not see the kingship of the King.

1:58 We have been through many wars throughout all the generations. Chizkiyahu king of Yehudah, and all the kings there were, and King Shlomo, and David king of Israel, and all the kings who fought, and Shimshon the mighty. Everyone who fought the wars of Hashem did it only so that Hashem alone would reign, and the kingship of Hashem would go on and remain forever, and everyone would know that Hashem is King, and they would crown Him, and He would have satisfaction and a revelation of G-dliness.

2:24 No one may forget that miracle and wonder that Hashem does with us every single day, that He keeps us alive and existing. His kingship is not revealed in the world, but we are revealed in the world, and we know, according to the holy Torah and according to all the prophecies, that Hashem created the world for the sake of His kingship, blessed be He, in order to be revealed in the world, and to do good to the created beings, so that they crown Him and praise His great Name.

2:57 And the moment we see that the kingship of Hashem is not revealed, it means that the command of the Creator, His words, is not being kept. If the command of the Creator, His words, is not kept, it need not even be said what the whole entire world would deserve. And Hashem, blessed be He, nevertheless, in His great mercy and His immense kindness, sustains and provides for all the created beings and the whole world, because of His attribute of mercy, blessed be He, for even though they sin and move far away, how merciful He is, full of mercy - He has mercy on us, even though His glory and His greatness and His kingship are not revealed.

3:32 Even so, Hashem, blessed be He, is patient with everything we say, and so He desires to be revealed in the world, and He is revealed among the true, holy and pure tzaddikim, for there is the main revelation of the glory of Hashem, blessed be He, among the holy tzaddikim, and this is especially Rosh Hashanah, when the glory of Hashem, blessed be He, is revealed, and 'in the multitude of people is the King's glory', and there is hope and faith that Rosh Hashanah will light up the whole entire world with the revelation of the G-dliness of Hashem, blessed be He - that Hashem, blessed be He, will be revealed as King, that the whole entire world will know that He is King.

4:12 We are inside our own four cubits; each one of us thinks about his own four cubits. Know this: there is no greater loss than this - 5772 has passed, almost; not yet, it has not passed yet, we still have a little left. The little that remains for us in these days, toward 5773, is only so that perhaps this year we will not miss it, and we will see satisfaction for the G-d of Israel, see satisfaction for the One who created us, formed us, made us and brought us into the world, who carried us forward in the hope that we will do what our forefathers carried on before us in the world.

4:49 We are all soldiers in Hashem's army; we were sent here to the world to crown Hashem. On no festival, season or holiday in the year, at no gathering, and in nothing else during the year, do we crown Hashem. It is not like Yom Kippur. On Yom Kippur we only ask for His forgiveness, His pardon, and [unclear] - that He forgive, and pardon, and atone.

5:14 On Rosh Hashanah Hashem is revealed, going forth as King of the whole world. And we begin to speak to Him in terms of honor and kingship, and awe, and dread, and fear. And we say, and we are shaken: Rosh Hashanah is approaching; we are about to crown the King, and we have nowhere to crown Him. We are crowning a King who has no palace.

5:41 We are crowning a King who has no crown. A person, as Rosh Hashanah approaches, must be shaken by this and see from it: how am I crowning a King when I have no crown to give Him, how am I crowning a King when I have no palace to give Him to sit in? What can I do so that on this Rosh Hashanah and in this year I will promise my King that by next year I will give Him a crown and a palace to sit in?

6:08 This is the meaning of Rosh Hashanah, and that is why 'Rosh Hashanah' has the numerical value of 'Beis HaMikdash'. We may not forget the miracle and the wonder that Hashem does with us every day, keeping us alive. And this is what is written in Tehillim after this, in that same verse: 'And they remembered that G-d was their Rock' - and then is fulfilled - 'and G-d Most High their Redeemer.' If that same thing is fulfilled - if 'and they remembered that G-d was their Rock' - if we remember this, that G-d is the One who formed us. It is good for everyone to read chapter 78 of Tehillim every day, until Rosh Hashanah.

6:43 Read it every day until Rosh Hashanah, chapter 78 of Tehillim; reflect on every single word, and see how much Hashem, blessed be He, rebukes us and desires to reveal His kingship over us. It seems to us [unclear] that Hashem is off in the heavens, and we only sense Him in fantasies, imagination and make-believe, not as He was with all the tzaddikim and the Tannaim and our forefathers, when the heavens would open and they would see the revelation of His glory, and see Him as King, fighting our wars for us and taking us out of Egypt, and they would see fire and hail, and each one would lift his eyes to the heavens and speak with Him, and Hashem would answer him and draw him close, draw him close and love him, and show him a revelation of G-dliness - and there, all the fear and dread and trembling and turmoil and madness and panic, Hashem removes it all from us and gives us a new heart and a new mind

7:38 and closeness to Him. Where are those days? When will we see that very day? When will we see these days, those days for which we must act for the sake of Hashem? As I explained - that is it; with Hashem's help I will soon publish it, the [unclear] book that I composed, only about what a person's duty is in his world. Everyone thinks that he came into the world and that the job of Hashem, blessed be He, is to give to him: what does Hashem give me - that is what a person thinks.

8:10 But a person does not understand that he came for: what will I give to Hashem. Hashem wants to see from my heart what I truly do for the sake of His kingship, for the sake of His glory, that He be revealed as King by all the created beings, that they know He alone is King, and that the kingship of flesh and blood - of all the kings, presidents and emperors - cease.

8:36 And we do not understand how much we must ask Hashem to reign over us alone, and that there be no kingship of flesh and blood. And we do not understand at all how great an exile we are in - an exile so great, terrible, immense and dreadful, an exile so great, without closeness, without reflection on where we are at all. With this year, and it is in our power - it is in no other power.

9:01 Everyone who is alive - we are alive, we have the possibility to live, we are alive. If each one of us is alive, it is a sign that he was sent to bring the geulah. Everyone who lives and breathes - Hashem chose him to bring the geulah. Everyone who is alive, every single one, every Jewish man and woman in the world. We must be servants, faithful to the honor of our Father, to the honor of our King, and do everything we can do and must do.

9:34 What about all those who suffer in exile, in terrible pain? What about those who do not get married? What about those who lack a livelihood? What about those who go about single, broken and crushed in the world? What about those who see no opening and no healing for their souls? What about the honor of the tzaddikim, who are scorned and despised in the whole world? What about the honor of Hashem and the honor of the Shechinah - how does the Kosel, the Western Wall, look?

10:00 So do we, in this time, understand where the kingship is? And the Kosel looks like this? The Kosel? So where is our reflection? How far does the flaw reach? That I pray and hope for something, or a Tikkun on Rosh Hashanah, or for some thing on Rosh Hashanah - and do I understand what Rosh Hashanah is? It is approaching - so do I understand what I need to think about on Rosh Hashanah, and what to repair?

10:24 Whom am I crowning at all? What am I crowning, and over what am I crowning, and where am I crowning? And until when will I crown Him? Kingship? You call out to the King, and you crown a King - over what? This is our job; we - our job is to crown Hashem. Even we - each one of us - no matter with what character traits, no matter where he stands in this state.

10:50 Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai and Rabbi Elazar his son - they can carry the whole world. But that is not the point, not the point. The greatest flaw, the greatest sorrow, is: 'And they forgot His deeds and His wonders that He had shown them.' It is forgetting this kingship - that Hashem is the King who redeemed us and took us out of Egypt.

11:14 This is what Rabbi Shlomo of Karlin [unclear]. [unclear] he writes: The greatest sin is when a Jew forgets that he is a king's son. We know the way to be redeemed is only through Torah and tefillah, not to live in imagination. Torah and tefillah, keeping the Shulchan Aruch, being careful about the mikveh, being careful to pray on time, being careful to keep the Torah and its mitzvos, not to move anything from the Shulchan Aruch and not to move anything from the way of the holy Torah.

11:41 But in your free hours, in your hobby hours, in the times you are staring into space, know what to build on, what to think about. Know what to think about when you learn. What are you learning for? What are you praying for? So that we understand where we are, what we live for, what we breathe for, what we get up in the morning for. There are people who live 80, 90, 100 years in the world, and they do not know at all why they came into the world for 100 years.

12:12 We need to understand: this is my job. Each one says: this is my job. To know that I was sent here - this is a mission, and the responsibility on me is much greater than I think. Each one of us must know: in each one of us there is an aspect of Shaul and of David. There is one who is the aspect of Shaul, and there is one who is the aspect of David. In most of the world, it is the aspect of Shaul that is revealed in them; the few who merit - the aspect of David.

12:46 Shaul - Hashem wanted him to wipe out the memory of [unclear] and to begin revealing His kingship in the world. And Shaul was a little slow in the task. He did not understand that it is for a set time. Hashem took his kingdom, takes this kingship and gives it to someone else who will do it. That is the reason that the world today, in the world, what we see, that the generations are renewed.

13:16 Hashem gave you kingship, He gave it to you. Whom do you rule over? Do you rule at home? Do you rule over the children? Whom do you rule over? How much kingship is under you? Everyone who is under you. You have kingship, it does not matter who you are. Use this kingship to bring My kingship near already. I do not want to sit in heaven for a long time anymore.

13:43 I want to be revealed on earth in the fullness of splendor and kingship, for that is why I created the world. And that is the role of David. If you will be David, you will bring about the revelation of My kingship, says Hashem. If you will not be David, you will be Shaul. You will not bring about My kingship. And I will not reign in the world, so I pass this kingdom on until that one comes who will crown Me, until that one comes who will simply crown Me in the world.

14:16 And certainly there will be several such people. The very shiur we learned today - that is already the kingship of Hashem, for we are learning, [unclear] the Shechinah rests upon us, and Hashem hears the words, and certainly He has satisfaction from the words we speak about Him, blessed be He, and our whole aim now is that He will desire to redeem us and to be revealed to us, for He chose us from all the nations and gave us His Torah, for there is something in our souls; there are things in our souls, immense and very lofty, that we cannot grasp; there are immense things in our souls that none of us can grasp or attain.

14:55 This whole purpose is in order to reveal all this kingship in the whole world. If Hashem chose us, and we have no grasp of why? What is in these souls? When will the greatness of these souls be seen? They need to be seen at some point. When will we see them? When will we know this secret of the souls of Israel, from what place they were emanated and came? When will we know what the secret of this people is?

15:21 The chosen people, whom Hashem loves and chose? When will we know why all our forefathers were bound, [unclear] and killed? What are these peyos for? What is this matter of the beard? For whose sake have we been working so many years? We were bound and burned, and all that we went through. On all of this we are judged on Rosh Hashanah. Will He take away the curtain and be revealed to us?

15:48 Or will He go on putting up a curtain for next year? Rosh Hashanah is a judgment. Will the King reveal His kingship, or will the King keep Himself behind the curtain? That the image of His G-dliness should be revealed in the whole world, that the whole world should see who He is. But because the world now does not see the revelation of His G-dliness, they do not see how creation is run in the world, they do not see [unclear].

16:18 Only the tzaddikim see; they do not see the revelation of G-dliness with their eyes. This, with Hashem's help, we will merit - that Hashem, blessed be He, will show us. I pray that the Holy One, blessed be He, will help each and every one of us merit salvations, and miracles and wonders, and that Hashem bless each and every one, that we all merit to remember, always to remember, the remembrance, that everything is a wonder, to appreciate every miracle, everything, every small thing, and to hope that with Hashem's help Hashem will carry us, with Hashem's help, to sing a niggun of a little kingship, that with this niggun we will crown [unclear], [unclear] ... in honor of Hashem.

Rosh Hashanah is drawing near and we are about to inaugurate the King, but we have nowhere to enthrone Him. We are inaugurating a King without a palace. We are coronating a King without a crown. As Rosh Hashanah approaches, a person should tremble and be appalled by this. How can I coronate the King, when I have no crown to give Him? How can I enthrone the King, when I have no palace to establish His throne in? What can I do so this Rosh Hashanah, and this year, I can promise my King that by next year I will give Him a crown and a palace? This is the meaning of Rosh Hashanah Therefore, "Rosh Hashanah" (861) numerically equals "Beis HaMikdash" (861). None of us knows the greatness of our souls. Each Jew has immeasurably enormous soul. There is no grasping the greatness of the soul. We are all one, we came from one root and source. Our souls are humiliated by the world, while others roam the entire world, reveling and gleeful. They receive high-ranking positions, honor, and greatness, while we are lowly and shamed; rejected in anguish and degradation And we ask, how long will this continue? This year is also ending… As I explained, "Rosh Hashanah" is numerically equivalent to "Beis HaMikdash." How can we be without the King's palace, without a King Who is revealed in the world? What purpose does the world, and the entire creation, have when the King is not in His palace, and we don't witness His kingship? We've been through many wars throughout the generations lead by Hezekiah, king of Judah, and the succession of kings, King Shlomo, King David, and Samson…
