Tisha B'Av is a day of crying, a Yom b'chi. This morning, we cried all morning long. We cried on Churban Beis Hamikdash. We cried over the many tzaros that happened during that time period in Churban Beis Hamikdash. We cried over the tzaros that happened in the years of Tach v'Tat. We even went through the Asarah B'Teves Malchus. And we cried as we explained each one of the tzaddikim kedoshim how they were brutally killed. And then at the end, we cried over the last Churban, the most recent Churban, the Holocaust, where we lost 6 million of Klal Yisrael. My question today is, why do we cry? Is this what we are? Klal Yisrael are ma'aminim b'nei ma'aminim. After every tzara, a Yid always learns to accept and not to ask questions and to move on, to look to rebuild, to look to start over. The empire of Torah over here in America was built by people that left the Holocaust, where many family members of theirs were just murdered. And they chose not to think about the past, and instead to just think about the future. And they rebuilt a world of Torah. We never live in the past. The great Rebbe of Belz after the war, his Hasidim came to him and asked him, "How are we going to rebuild?" And he told them, "Do you know when the Yidden left Mitzrayim? During Makas Choshech, 4/5 of Klal Yisrael were killed out. When after during during Makas Choshech, and then a few days later after leaving Mitzrayim, they stood at the Yam, and they screamed out Shiras Hayam, Oz Yashir. You know what that means? The Belzer said, "You're talking about families. The average person had lost many family members.
