and okay so as I said last week um we're going to kind of do a new topic although it's not totally a new because we talk about the rambam a lot and that is we're going to be looking at uh the rambam's letters and the rambam's introductions these are very very interesting parts of the rambam's Legacy that are sometimes uh under reported or under represented uh everyone knows the ROM's famous works uh everyone knows the ROM's famous works uh say again didn't hear you I didn't hear you sources um okay you could have the sources I mean there are hundred hundreds of pages but uh okay all right I'll see what I can do I mean uh you know it's like saying if I if I would be giving a Shar on on the mishna Torah can we have those sources well the Mish Torah is 14 volumes uh the letters and the introductions are around three or four volumes but okay I'll I'll see uh what I'm able to uh to to what I'm able to uh to to replicate um now today uh I'm going to start more more or less with a biography uh just so you'll have a basic sense of the rambam's life uh the rambam uh is of course an an abbreviation for rabi mosha Ben maon his father was myON uh and according to some traditions although this is not mentioned by the rambam himself the rambam's goes all the rambam himself the rambam's goes all the way back to as they say the rambam never says that anywhere but but some later tried to trace him uh in that in that way uh the name that he is often given by later authorities which maybe you've seen is the Great Eagle it's not clear why this became the to the rambam as far as I know other
