0:02 Yesterday, with the help of Heaven, I went for the first time to hear a shiur of the Yanuka, Rabbi Shlomo Yehuda, [unclear] - a great tzaddik, a young man, thirty-something years old, versed in the entire Torah. What a pleasure it was to see him, such humility.

0:30 Great rabbis sat there in the first row. So yesterday I also came, like that, to see what - to see what is in the jug, as they say - to see what this Yanuka is that everyone is talking about. That is to say, this is a soul that comes down once in a thousand years - a thing like this. I went to see what it is, what goes on there. They put me - I sat at the back, at the end. Someone pulled me - like, [unclear] a great sage; he sat in the first row, so he pulled me and said to me, 'Come here.'

0:59 'Rav Ravid, come here.' 'Leave me, it's awkward, it's awkward, [unclear].' 'Come here.' He put me next to him in the first row. I said, wow, wow. He put me up front; I was a bit embarrassed. And then [unclear], and I simply looked at him. He simply sits and brings out chiddushim, new Torah insights. He opened the shiur with humility: 'I don't know what to speak about, what will I speak about? Why do you want me to speak?'

1:27 Someone said, 'Mezuzah' - it's connected to the parshah. Someone said, 'Shofar' - why do we stand here and sit here [unclear]? Someone said, 'Tu B'Av.' Like, everyone threw out a topic. So today he said - [unclear]. How is shofar connected to mezuzah, to [unclear]?

1:52 Okay, with Hashem's help - [unclear] - he did like this, [unclear] here on the head, and began to give a talk. He gives a talk on shofar, on mezuzah, on Tu B'Av - ta-ta-ta-ta-ta. He pulled out some 300 sources there in the middle of the talk, and it all flows. And I simply melted with delight. It's simply to see a ben Torah. Swimming in the Rambam, swimming in the Gemara, swimming in the Shulchan Aruch, swimming in the Mishnah Berurah, saying all the commentators.

2:24 Tremendous Torah scholars are sitting in the audience. A young man, [unclear] [unclear] I sat opposite him in the row there, of the rabbis; they put me there - may Hashem forgive me for it, I am doing teshuvah for it. And I simply delighted in his humility, his nobility, his character, his genius, his wisdom, his simplicity - all the time thinking of Hashem, seeing Hashem, and not taking the honor - taking the kingship of the Holy One, blessed be He, the honor that belongs only to the Holy One, blessed be He, and taking it to ourselves.

2:57 Honor is only for the Holy One, blessed be He. Also [unclear] modesty and fear of Heaven and gentleness and nobility. [unclear] a true Torah scholar - you see it. A Torah scholar does not need to talk too much; you see where he conducts himself, how he speaks, where he goes about. You look at him - that is a Torah lesson. I'm telling you, I was at the Yanuka's yesterday; it was enough for me to sit and look at him like this for ten minutes - I got a surge of fear of Heaven.

3:24 It's enough just to look at him. An angel of Hashem. And at the end of the shiur they brought him a big organ and he started to play. "And it was, as the musician played..." We heard a shiur of about three hours - we heard a three-hour shiur. Fascinating - I was like this. And I heard that the Rav very much wanted to play, and he did not know how to play.

3:53 So they brought him an organ, and he sat at it for two hours and learned to play. If you hear how he plays - Beethoven. These are beautiful niggunim of the Tzemach Tzedek, Chassidic niggunim. Two hours. Praised be His Name. The violinist was there - do you know Daniel the violinist?

4:21 a great Torah scholar, one of the best violinists. In short, we sat, we enjoyed, we delighted. And the Rav brought me a gift - [unclear]. 'And you bring merit to the many - take this against [unclear].' So the Rav said - they call him the Yanuka, the Yanuka - that the month of Av is half [unclear] and half mercy.

4:55 There is no other month like it, whose first half is harsh judgment and its end is [unclear]. And this is the secret of Av - Aleph, Beis. Its beginning is Aleph - [unclear]; its end is Beis - baruch, blessed.
