Hi, this is David Wolovsky with our parsha in five where in five minutes we try to give you a little insight into the parsha that will hopefully enhance your shabbos. Parshas Shlach. So obviously the main story over here is the maraglim. And the maraglim go out and bring back the evil report. We know about this. We spoke about it in the past. We'll probably talk about it again in the future. But I want to go in a very different direction and that's when you get to the end of the parsha. A whole bunch of things at the end of the parsha. You have the din of nesachim of the of the mincha and nesachim the wine and the breads that you bring with carbonois. We have the mitzvah of challah. We talk about shabbos. We have all kinds of other things. At the very end is a story. It's the story of the mekoshash eitzim. A fellow goes out on shabbos to collect wood. And he's being mechallel shabbos. And they bring him to Moshe and Moshe locks him up till he finds out what death penalty he's supposed to get. But they knew already it was the death penalty. They know this um from the aseres hadibros. They knew this for a long time. What a strange story. Why is he going and collecting wood on shabbos? He doesn't have to cook. The manna was edible in its original state. The incredible edible manna. Yeah? He didn't need it for warmth. There was this big pillar of fire. There were these clouds of glory that surrounded them. They were all temperature controlled. Everything was fine. Why did he need this? And to make it worse the chazal say klal Yisrael couldn't even keep one Shabbos. And because they ate some messed it up. Cuz just one Shabbos and we'll all be
