We're learning the fourth sicha of parshas Korach in chelek yud ches on page 212. This shiur is being learned l'iluy nishmas Reb Yosef ben Binyamin ben Reb Menashe Kaufman. The shaychus to the mitzvah of shmiras Mikdash through the Kohanim and Levi'im. In connection with the mitzvah of guarding the Beis Hamikdash, which was done through the Kohanim and the Levi'im. Three places that the Kohanim have to guard the Beis Hamikdash. VaLevi'im b'esrim v'echad makom kulo. And the Levi'im stood guard at the Beis Hamikdash on 21 locations. Chamisha, five of those places was al chamisha sha'arei ha'azarah. The five entrances to the azarah of the Beis entrances to the azarah of the Beis Hamikdash. So this is the first Mishnah of Maseches Middos. So here it clearly says that there were five sha'arim, five entrances to the azarah. In a shpata d'gamara in a later Mishnah state aber it says shiva sha'arim hayu ba'azarah kulo. That there were seven entrances into the azarah. U'merachen ze yos b'fratis, and the Mishnah there says what those seven entrances are. Az es eni geven nis chamisha ela shiva sha'arim. Not five but seven entrances. So this is an obvious contradiction of
