Our Rabbanu Rambam writes that the woman who said to her husband, "I divorced so-and-so in front of so-and-so," and the same witnesses came and denied it, and then she and her husband went on a journey, and peace be upon the world, and she came and said, "My husband is dead, she is not faithful, she was held to be a liar and wants to get away from her husband." One word came to her, "When her husband is dead, do not try to find husband is dead, do not try to find him there, and if you marry, you will not leave, for she has a witness." Let us explain, gentlemen, in order to understand things well, we need to make some brief introductions. We have learned that in the laws of a woman, in order for a woman not to remain agunah, the Sages made it easy for her to believe that her husband died so that she could marry someone else.
