yourself. Um later in Deuteronomy the Moshe repeats this story and he gives a little background where the people of Israel they were at the edge of the promised land. They had traveled from Mount Si. They had come to the very edge of the promised land. They're on the southern border and um the people come to Mosha and say we want to send out send spies or to scouts to scout out the land and give us a report on what kind of land it is. So Moshe is at first hesitant but he um turns to Hashem and Hashem says it's up to you whatever you want. Moshe says, "Well, if I say you can't, then they'll say, "What are you hiding?" So, um, he felt he had no hiding?" So, um, he felt he had no choice. And so, he chooses 12 great leaders of Israel, 12 men whom he trusted, and he sends them as scouts to spy out the land. Um, McCura gives us the name of all 12 of them, one from each tribe. Moshe gives him instructions to go travel through the land, see what kind of people it is, see what kind of land it is, look at the fortnifications, and um, they start in the south. Um they go through it mentions um they um cut they take fruit samples from the land some grapes um a uh and um some grapes
