What’s said in this shiur

The opening of this shiur, in Rabbi David Pinto’s own words — taken from the captions, so names and Hebrew terms may be approximate.

We approach Hag Hashavuot. Hag Hashavuot it's a It's Matan Torah. But if you see in the Torah, we don't mention that on Hag Hashavuot the Torah was given. It's just a Shavuot. Shavuot that mean weeks. Shavuot. Shavuot that mean weeks. Hashem said, count seven weeks from Pesach till till Shavuot. And after seven weeks, it's a holiday. A a a holiday of what? We don't know. Just count. So, really, we count seven weeks, 49 days, and uh we know the Torah was given those days on Hag Hashavuot. But the Torah don't mention that the Torah was given on Hag Hashavuot. So, why the Torah don't mention that the Torah was given on Hag Hashavuot? The Torah was given the 6th of Sivan. Because Hashem want to tell you that the day you decide to receive the Torah, it's Matan Torah. it's Matan Torah. I mean, some people think, well, we know the date of Purim, we know the date of Pesach, 15th of Nisan, uh Sukkot, 15th of Heshvan, Rosh is the 1st of uh of Tishrei, excuse me. Tishrei Kippur is the 10th of Tishrei. Sukkot is the 10th of Sukkot is the 10th of is the 15th of Tishrei. Shavuot Ah? Is the 10th it's the 6th of Sivan. And Matan Torah we don't know. The Torah don't say. We know that the Torah was given on the 6th of Sivan, but it's not written. And you know, Matan Torah is the I mean uh The reason why we left Egypt to receive the Torah.
