hello we are preparing for the ten days of chufa the ten days of chuva include rosh hashanah and yom kippur all the days beginning with rosh hashanah all the way through yom kippur are 10 days and these are called the 10 days of shiva and we learned that in these particular days that we are closer to god than in any other time in a sense that we can reach out to god which is what shuffle really is so on the first day on the first two days which are rosh hashanah essentially we are giving ourselves over to god we are asking god to be our king and we accept god's rulership and then we accept what god tells us is what he wants so this is the head of the year and this is the head of our connection to god which we then are prepared to bring into all that we do in the world so how can we deeply and essentially connect with god this is the question and these 10 days are the work of connecting to god in this way there is a book a very special book called hayam yamaseifer hayomyom it's a compilation from the labovicher rebbe which was written before he was rebel and it is gathering writings from the previous laboratory robbie joseph yitzhak schneerson and it brings them together i have a particularly favorite volume of that which is called tackling life's tasks which is written by um which has commentary by uri kaploon and eliyahutagar so this is haiyomyong so we're going to talk about something that is taught in haiyon
