we start out but let's see where this goes today we have the honor of having two amazing people um of course the world renowned Rabbi YY Jacobson who's been with us before and has given us tremendous support and physical healing along with Dr Stewart Avalon and um you know while our program at Fresh Start was built for the purpose of helping people recover from their own trauma uh one of the things that we secretly do is we try to help people make sure that they don't replay the same trauma in their children and that's a critical part of the work that we want to impact here so Dr ablon that's where hopefully you come in and while we're all working on ourselves and healing our own past I'm sure you have ideas and strategies for how we can uh make sure our children don't have to take the journey that so many uh people watching this video and on this call today I've had to take a little bit about Dr Avalon before we begin Dr ablot is an award-winning psychologist and associate professor at Harvard Medical School and he's the founder director of think kids at Mass General Hospital he's also the author of three books including changeable uh hand-picked by Malcolm Gladwell and Susan Kane for the next big idea Club he's one of the world's top rated thought leaders and keynote speakers at conferences many of you I sent out prior to this call Doctor we sent out your famous tedx talk um but we look forward to digging in and uh and getting to hear more about our connection and how we how we parent from a healthy place I think we'll have some live questions we have some uh some uh
