0:09 This is my joy, you see? This is the gift... There is no despair in the world at all. I want to tell you a story. The holy Baal Shem Tov once had a student who had a long delay in finding his match. He could not find a match; he reached a very advanced age, and everyone said: apparently he has a Tikkun from Heaven, that he hasn't married and won't find a wife; it is apparently something from Heaven — and he had no way to marry.

0:38 Well, everyone looked: the Baal Shem Tov — he said nothing on this subject. He was held up for a long time: every shidduch that was proposed to him fell through. They propose another shidduch; it falls through. He is coming to a meeting, and on the way the wheels of his wagon broke. No, everything falls through for him. They said: well, this is apparently a gilgul — he will not marry.

1:07 Time passes, time passes; so it went, and everyone was whispering that there is something here from Heaven. One day he is traveling by wagon to yet another meeting, with yet another wagon along, so that if the wheels break, he will come in the other wagon. And indeed, so it was: the wagon broke, he moved to the second wagon, and the second wagon broke on him too. He was left there in the forest.

1:32 They went to bring the shidduch. On the shidduch's way, her wheels broke as well — until the Baal Shem Tov said to him: Listen, Let's do this. We will do this: you, with Hashem's help, pray that there be no obstacles, that there be no difficulties. Let's see to it that the salvation comes; we will pray, and we'll try to bring the two of you together, and if it works out and you are both pleased, we will marry you quickly.

1:59 We won't wait with it for many weeks and days. Truly, if it's a fit, may it go well. And so it was. And indeed, in the end he manages to have a meeting: a first meeting, a second meeting; at the third meeting they said: that's it, a wedding. All right? The time of the wedding arrives. They came with a convoy of wagons, so that if there's a problem... So he comes in a big wagon, a carriage like that. He's on his way, and the wheels broke.

2:29 He moved to the second wagon; those broke too. They brought the bride; on the way, the wheels of her wagon broke, there was an obstacle on the way, they fell into the mud. Such obstacles, impossible. Until at last they reached the forest. He stands on this side, she stands on that side, everyone is singing, escorting them. He stands under the chuppah, she stands under the chuppah, he goes to take out the ring to betroth her, and the ring fell from his hand.

2:56 The ring rolled away. Everyone at once: 'Ah, oy...' This just cannot be. The holy Baal Shem Tov took hold of the ring, lifted the ring, brought him the ring, Of course they performed the kiddushin and everything. They were married, joy, salvations, everything, dancing. And then the Baal Shem Tov said: I want to tell you something. Everyone thought, the ring fell... The time had simply not yet come, and so...

3:23 Oh! Who is that playing like that, making niggunim? Yes. That was the niggun of the chuppah just now, the niggun of the chuppah. So the holy Baal Shem Tov said: I want to tell you something. How you thought in your minds that he had obstacles and difficulties as if from Heaven — a gilgul, that he would not marry, and all that. And now the ring fell too: a bad sign; there, he cannot.

3:49 And I tell you that the true meaning is that his time had not yet come. When the time comes, the ring will be on the finger. If there is still one second to go, the ring will not be on the finger. So this is to strengthen all the singles. Here, baruch Hashem, we have a joyous wedding here. There were delays, but here, it has come. "Give thanks to Hashem, for He is good, for His kindness endures forever." To be joyful, and to know that everything, baruch Hashem, happens for the good, and to wait patiently, and to know that it is all for the good, from Him, blessed be He, and that the moment and the time will come. What do we see?

4:24 We see everyone marrying at 20, so 'that's it — if one doesn't marry at 20, he is delayed, it's gilgulim.' No. Each person has his own time. There is a time for everything, and each person has his own time, whenever the Holy One, blessed be He, decides to save him with what he needs. So do not despair, and do not break, and always be joyful. You asked what to do, you asked what to do: say all the offerings of the Nesi'im, every day, and pray that the person be married. There is nothing stronger than this. Mainly, after the Shacharis tefillah: when a person finishes the tefillah, he opens the Book of Bamidbar, chapter seven, and reads up to and including 'And it was on the day that Moshe finished setting up the Mishkan,' he reads all the offerings of the Nesi'im,

5:05 and prays with it. Every day in the morning; it takes five minutes, six minutes, no more; just a few minutes. You read it in the morning after the tefillah, until the person gets engaged. When a person gets engaged, and, baruch Hashem... even until the day of the chuppah. To read it — it is a good thing. I read it until the day of my own wedding. All right. Even if one is not delayed. In Tractate Gittin, page 90, the Gemara says that the Altar sheds tears over a person who divorces; the Altar sheds tears. So all the more so now, when a person reads about the offerings, he builds an Altar, he brings offerings; so, on the contrary, one learns from it the reverse: that this can bring about the salvation.

5:43 So indeed, read it, even a person who has no delay and is not yet held up in a shidduch, where everything is fine. This too is good; it is a segulah that everything should go easily. I recommend: read all the offerings of the Nesi'im every day — Bamidbar, chapter seven. No. A single woman should read Tehillim 31 and 71; a woman who wants a salvation: 31, and Tehillim 71. It is known that if there is a man who is truly delayed, he should say both 31 and 71, and also all the offerings of the Nesi'im.
