Life starts off very exciting. It's full of color, of beauty, of passion. But after a while, we become disillusioned. And sometimes we become less idealistic. This isn't limited to us. The Torah HaKedoshah tells us, The king is to be appointed. The king is coronated, the king is anointed. The Torah HaKedoshah says, As the king sits on his throne. It should say בשבת. What does that mean, ‘as he sits’? Says HaGaon R’ Mottel Pegrimansky zt”l, that a king has plans and he starts off occupying his throne with tremendous ideas. Very idealistic. But after a while, he gets disappointed. He gets disillusioned, he gets bored. A king has always to live his life כשבת, as if he's sitting on the throne for the first time. Every day of his monarchy is כשבת המלך על כסא ממלכתו.
