Okay, friends. >> [clears throat] >> Shalom Aleichem. Again, erev Shabbos. Today's shiur, Gateway to Tefillah, which is dedicated by my dear friend Rabbi Tzvi Rosen family l'zecher nishmas Rabbi Tzvi Rosen's brother, Tzvi ben Levi Yitzchak, is a shiur on Tefillah, as well as on Parshas B'ha'aloscha. We have amazing material. Today, we're going to move to the end of the Birkhas K'riat Sh'ma of Shacharis. Tzur Yisrael Kumah b'ezras Yisrael U'fdecha u'malkha Yisrael Go'aleinu Hashem Tzva'os Yisrael K'dosh Yisrael Baruch Atah Hashem Go'al Yisrael. Now, you may have noticed that we repeated the word Yisrael many times in that Tefillah. Now, the first thing you should have noticed >> [clears throat] >> is that I said the words Go'al Yisrael out loud. And the reason I said that is because it is correct to do that. It is also required to do that. Reb Elyashiv writes that if the shliach tzibbur does not say the words out loud, it's a chisaron in davening with a minyan. It's a chisaron in davening with a minyan. The job of the definition of davening with a minyan is a shliach tzibbur that begins and ends all the brachos. Today, we're going to learn another reason for that. >> [clears throat] >> But for now, by the way, Rav Henkin left in his tzava'ah that at his levayah, they should announce that the shliach tzibbur must say the words Baruch Atah Hashem Go'al Yisrael out loud. But today, we're going to see something incredible. In Birkhas K'riat Sh'ma, Tzur Yisrael, one. Kumah b'ezras Yisrael, two. U'fdecha u'malkha Yisrael, galin ashim Yisrael four, baruch atah Hashem go'el Yisrael five. That's unusual. Have we seen that somewhere before? Parshas Behaaloscha, va'et na'as halevi'im nesu'ei le'aron uvenav meitoch benei one Yisrael lavo in es avodas as benei two Yisrael beyom eid ulchaper al benei three Yisrael velo yiheh
