Hi, this is Deowski with our question and answer shorts which is a new project that we've started. Anonymous asks, "I have teen and post-teen girls. Do you have a suggestion for them for long shabas nights in the winter or long afternoons in the summer?" Unless this person lives in South Africa or in Australia and then just reverse the seasons here. They don't want to say Tahillim. They read magazines, play games, talk or sleep, and eat candy. I'm looking for something. Okay, let me tell you the attitude that I have because I have a girl. When my girls started growing up, I had one philosophy and that is I wanted my house to be the place where the girls hung out. I didn't want my girls out there without knowing where they were or what was happening. I wanted them and their friends to come in here. It started when the kids were very little. I used to make a shabas party every Shabas when my kids were little. They can invite in all of their friends. We had a whole stack of them and I'd give them out treats and we'd make brahas and we'd sing some songs, you know, and I'd ask a few very simple para questions and we'd make a little party and and the kids loved it. In fact, I had a friend of mine who was and he says to me, my son says to me, "You know, Tati, I love Shabas." He says, I started patting myself in the back. He says, "How come?" Says, "Koothski is having a shabas party.
