the yeshiva dotnet I received the following email from the young man it reads as follows he writes good evening rabbi I came across her classes I started to listen to many of them and I really really enjoy them especially your series on em you know I like the whole outlook towards Judaism that you develop in the classes but it's really bothering me I had many teachers and many rabbis over the years and they all spoke about Judaism but it sounded like a very different Judaism than I hear in your classes and I have to say that I'm really confused sometimes you could say ship and pond omelet IRA there are 70 phases to the Torah there are different interpretations to one thing in Tara but nonetheless there seems to me that there is a blatant contradiction the way I grew up and my education was always that God is very harsh God punishes everything that you do wrong according to some if you do a few things wrong he will take away your share in the world to come for eternity generally an approach very much based on fear on dread I was told if I do this I will get punished this way if I don't do this I will get punished this way in your classes I don't hear a lot about harshness and negativity I hear a lot about love but I'm not sure that you're teaching Judaism I want to know who got it right you were them I barely hear them talk about love and you I don't know it's like you don't even acknowledge that God is so harsh I'm hoping they are wrong then you're right but I don't think so
