There is a concept that not just being rewarded for the mitzvah itself, but the quality of the reward, if you like, or the quality of the mitzvah being performed depends very much on the time in which it was performed. And what it in which it was performed. And what it means is, the Medrash means is that a person who comes along and can take not only the s'char for the mitzvah for their own performance, but if it's in the backdrop of a wicked generation, then the s'char is going to be so much more and he gets the s'char, if you like, of the whole generation. And the Medrash gives us some examples. Interesting. Noach omed b'dor hamabul. Noach, of course, lived in the generation of the flood. Zochah l'tol s'char kulam. Continues the Medrash. Avraham omed b'dor haflaga. So, l'tol Schar Kulon. So too Avram. Loits b'anshei da'em zocher too Avram. Loits b'anshei da'em zocher l'tol Schar Kulon. And then, fourth and finally, uh Eilu emdin b'derech hamidbar. They the Bnei S'lacha came in the derech the midbar. Zocher l'tol Schar Kulon. Lamdecha. To teach us. B'eizeh sha'a amdu lifnei Moshe?
